India really is one of the most amazing countries in the world. It was, for me a fantastic journey and one which i will never forget..
I travelled to Various cities and areas around India including Mumbai, Goa, New Delhi, Agra and Amritsar, and was amazed by the amount of culture and life that I came across. With every turn there was something new to see, and although I tried hard not to photograph the obvious - everything that was obvious was beautiful, so I couldn't resist!
I did however try my hand at a bit of photojournalism! while I was at the Taj Mahal, I decided that I wanted to go out and see some of the 'real' people living just outside the tourist trap - which took my tour guide by surprise to say the least! He couldn't understand why I had come all the way to the Taj Mahal, to then spend most of my time going down back streets. Well let me tell you, that was a humbling experience and I captured some of my most thought provoking shots down those streets. I will never forget when the tour guide told me that most of the people down these streets won't have ever seen a foreigner before - I remember thinking that they live less than a mile to the Taj Mahal - where more than 100 foreign tourists travel each day!
